The Hour Itself
One hour is enough, and it is worth understanding why.
A ceremony runs fifteen to twenty-five minutes. The rest is arrival, seating, photographs afterward and departure. An hour of private use covers all of it without anyone being rushed — and without paying for a room you would spend most of the time not using.
The arch and waiting area are styled before you arrive. The coordinator handles the order of events so nobody in your family has to.
Add-Ons and Prices
Unusually for a venue, we publish these rather than quoting on request:

- Aisle floral styling — $450
- Candles — from $100
- Additional chairs — $10 each
- Additional venue time — $100 per hour
- Drape backdrop — from $200
Aisle floral styling is the add-on that changes the photographs most, if you are choosing only one.
Seating and Guest Numbers
Two numbers, and they do different jobs. The room takes up to 50 guests in a ceremony configuration, which is the capacity. The package includes seating for 30, which is what comes as standard. Chairs beyond that are $10 each.
So a ceremony for 45 fits the room comfortably and costs an extra $150 in chairs. A ceremony for 60 does not fit, and we would tell you that rather than let you find out on the day.
If you are expecting more than 30, let us know when you book so the seating is right before you arrive.
What to Arrange Yourself
The package covers the venue, the styling and the coordination. A few things sit outside it, and it is better to know now.
You will need your own marriage commissioner or officiant, and your BC marriage licence, which is obtained separately and is valid for three months. Photography is not included but can be added. Catering is not part of this package — most couples marrying here go on to a restaurant afterward, which suits the one-hour format well.
Booking a Date
Saturdays in summer are the first to go. Weekday and off-season dates offer far more choice, and for a one-hour ceremony the day of the week matters less than it would for a full reception.
If You Want a Reception Too
The Garden Affair extends to two hours with reception seating and canapés from $3,888 plus tax. La Vie en Rose extends to four hours with a full buffet reception from $7,888 plus tax.
